to offer intervention and prevention
services to individuals and families
impacted by domestic violence and to
provide educational programs that
enhance the community’s capacity to
respond. Hope's Door is the only
domestic violence shelter located in
Collin County. We are a counseling
center that offers comprehensive
programs and services that are designed
to help break the cycle of domestic
abuse. Hope's Door provides direct
intervention and prevention services to
Texas families affected by domestic and
sexual abuse in Collin County, Dallas
County, and surrounding areas. Hope's
Door currently houses over 25
individuals in its secure shelter in
Collin County. In 2010, we were able to
house 478 individuals, but had to refer
out 521. In addition, we provide free
counseling and transitional housing
services for hundreds of clients per
month with no cost to them. |
